Before you start

Keep proof: Photograph or film the damage and keep any damaged items until they have been assessed by an expert, if necessary. Keep as much information as possible about your property (photo, purchase invoice, replacement estimate, etc.).

In the event of an emergency, you can contact the assistance department of your contract on 01.55.97.71.14 (excluding the CROUS package) to put you in touch with a locksmith, glazier or plumber. They will also pay for the 1st hour’s work up to a maximum of €150.

They can also re-house you if you are unable to stay in your student accommodation.

In the event of theft or vandalism

Procedure:

File a complaint with the nearest police station (lannuaire.service-public.fr)

Inform us of the theft and provide the number of the police report.

Secure your home by changing the locks if necessary.

Reporting: Contact EtudAssur’s claims department as soon as possible by telephone on 03.22.53.45.51 or by e-mail at sinistre@etudassur.fr.

Claims must be reported within 5 working days for water damage and theft, and 2 working days for fire.

We will then reimburse you up to €250, with no excess, on presentation of the estimate – with a waiting period of 2 years after the effective date of your policy.
